Your Golf Performance Operating System

Rounds, practice, stats, goals and the people you play with — in one place, feeding one picture. Then tell OPTML how long you've got and where you are, and it builds today's session out of what your game just told you.

How it works

Play. Read it. Practice it — today.

Three steps, and every one of them feeds the next. Nothing you log sits in a spreadsheet doing nothing.

01

Log the round

About a minute for a score, or go shot by shot when you want the detail. Enter as much as the round deserves — OPTML works from whatever you give it.

02

See what it cost you

Every round feeds one picture — strokes gained, and the Critical Mistakes costing you most — so you always know the one thing worth working on.

03

Practice it — today

Tell OPTML your time and your place. It builds a performance-practice session around what your rounds just said — every drill scored, under pressure, against your own bar — and adapts if you only get half of it done.

What's inside

One system, not six apps

Your scores, your practice, your handicap, your goals and your playing partners have never lived in the same place. Now they do.

Practice with a purpose

Performance drills, not a bucket of balls. Every drill is scored against your own target, so practice has a result you can read.

Critical mistakes

See what's wrecking your rounds. The handful of shots quietly costing you the most, ranked — so you stop guessing at what to fix.

Track what matters

Understanding trends made easy and effortless. Scoring, strokes gained and the parts of your game that actually move — read at a glance, from your first round on.

Handicap, in sync

Every round you log updates a World Handicap System index, so the number you play off is always current — and the same number sets your practice bars.

Keep showing up

Your habits, made visible. The players who improve are the ones who keep showing up — OPTML makes the streak easy to see and easy to keep.

Connect with your peers

See how your practice and play stack up against the people you actually play with — live, and handicap-fair so every level has a real shot.

The drills

A task. A number. A result.

Every drill in OPTML is a measurable pass/fail task: go do this specific thing, here's the number to clear, here's how it went. Putting, short game, wedges, approach, off the tee — a library of drills to help you perform better in every area of your game.

The number is yours, and every result is logged — so a bar you clear today means something the next time you run the drill.

One drill, three parts

01Task Clock drill — six putts around the hole from 4 ft, one on each line. Full routine on every putt.
02Number Your target: make 5 of 6. The number to clear, shown before you start.
03Result 5 of 6 — cleared. Logged.

Every drill works this way, and every result feeds the next session you build.

The other half

Technical practice builds your game.
Performance practice makes it show up.

Your coach owns the swing. OPTML owns the performance practice.

Technical practice expands what you're capable of. That's the lesson tee, that's your coach's work, and we don't touch it — no technique diagnosis in here, no form check, no verdict on your takeaway. That belongs to a person who can watch you hit it.

Performance practice is the other half: how much of that capability you can actually reach when it counts. It's the only kind OPTML prescribes. Every drill is a scored task under a pressure condition, against a number set for your ability — because the gap between your range swing and your course swing has never closed by hitting more balls.

Your coach, in the loop

Share rounds, practice scores, trends and goals so every lesson starts with context instead of "so, how've you been playing?"

  • Coaches get their own portal — roster, drill library and programs.
  • Prescribe a session; your player runs it scored, and you see the result.
  • Upload and annotate a swing clip by hand — your eye, your notes, nothing automated.

Questions

The short answers

Does OPTML analyze my swing?

No — and it won't. There's no technique diagnosis, no form check and nothing that tells you what your takeaway looks like. Your coach owns the swing. OPTML owns the practice around it: what to work on, how it's scored, and whether it's reaching the course. You and your coach can store and share swing clips in the app; OPTML carries them, it doesn't comment on them.

Do I need a coach to use it?

No. OPTML is complete on its own — log rounds, read what they cost you, run scored sessions, track goals, play against your friends. If you do have a coach, you can connect them so every lesson starts with the real picture.

What does a practice session actually look like?

You tell it how long you have and where you are — range, practice green, short game area, or a mix of stops. It comes back with a handful of scored drills built around what your recent rounds flagged. Each one is a performance test with a number to clear, and you log the result as you go. Swap a drill, drop one, or add from the library if you'd rather.

Will it tell me how much I'll improve?

No, and we think anything that does is selling you something. OPTML doesn't forecast how good you'll get. It shows you what you're actually doing, what it's costing you, and whether the work is transferring. What you do with that is the interesting part.

What happens to my handicap?

Every round you log produces a score differential and updates a World Handicap System index, so you always have a current number — and that same number is what sets the bar on every drill you're prescribed.

Which devices does it run on?

iPhone first. The coach portal runs in a desktop browser. Founder invites go out for iPhone; join the list and we'll tell you when anything else is ready.

When do I get in?

We're inviting founder members in batches so we can look after each one properly. Join the list and you'll hear from us directly when your invite is ready — one email, from a person.
